Shawnee - Betty Arlene (Turner) Howard, age 76 of Shawnee, died Sunday, June 27, 2021 in Edmond, Oklahoma. Services will be Friday, July 2, 2021 in Walker Funeral Service Chapel at 10:00 AM with Celebrant Glenda Stansbury officiating. Burial will follow in Prague Cemetery, Prague, Oklahoma.
Betty was born July 8, 1944 in Weleetka, Oklahoma to Clifton and Katherine Jones. Attended Weleetka High School. She married Gilland Turner from 1961 to 1991 (deceased) and then to Dr. Frank Howard from 1992 to 2018 (deceased).
She was active with the St. Anthony Hospital Foundation "Couture for the Cause" to benefit St. Anthony's Shawnee, Unity Health Center Foundation, Shakespeare Club, P.E.O. Chapter BB, Rose Unit Garden Club, Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary, Friends of the Maybee-Gerra Museum of Art and Pottawatomie County Medical Alliance. She loved being a Philanthropist.
Also, being a part of many different bridge groups, gardening and spending time with family and friends.

Preceded in death by: Clifton Jones, Katherine Jones, Gilland Turner, Frank Howard and daughter- in- law Jessica Turner
Family Members include: Eddie Van and Ruby Jones, Linda Kay Aultman, Mary Lee Guthrie and Kevin Crawley, Bruce and Mary Jones. Brad and wife Robin Turner, Richard Turner, Brian Turner and spouse Dr. Brent Bell. Pam Howard Garrett and husband James Garrett. Susan Howard Brooks and husband Stephen Brooks. Mark Howard and partner Matt Osgood. Grandchildren: Dillon Hayden, Matthew Garrett, Katie Garrett Segal, Zachary Turner, Molly Turner Burns, Hannah Brooks Lynam. She had a total of six great granddaughters.
