Dorothy Louise Feltman, 92, passed away on Monday, September 19, 2022, at Integris Hospice House, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Dorothy was born on Friday, November 22, 1929, in Wilburton, Oklahoma, to Ed and Emily (Hawkins) Riley. Dorothy Graduated from Wister High School, Wister, Oklahoma. After High School, she furthered her education at Eastern Oklahoma Junior College, Wilburton, and East Central University, Ada, Oklahoma, graduating from East Central in 1951 with bachelor's degree in education. Throughout her career Dorothy taught at Prairie Valley, Excelsior, and Prague Schools, in Oklahoma. She retired from Prague Public Schools in 1986.
Dorothy married Doctor Donald Feltman on April 16, 1961. He preceded her in death in 2013.
Dorothy was associated with the Prague United Methodist Church. Dorothy was also an active member of PEO. She enjoyed cooking, traveling, and being a mother and homemaker. She was avid fan of the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Emily Riley; her husband of 52 years, Doctor Donald Feltman; three brothers, Mikey Riley, Joe Ed Riley, and Lawrence "Buddy" Riley; and a special niece, Loretta Woolley.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Roger Feltman, and Ralph Feltman and his wife, Vallery; and a grandson, Colin Feltman; a great-niece, Lisa Woolley; as well as a host of other family members and friends.
