Jo Ann Coleman

January 31, 1932 ~ JUne 1, 2020

Jo Ann Coleman, of Sparks, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2020 at the age of 88. She was born on January 31, 1932 in Prague, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Joseph Julis and Emily Edna (Bledsoe) Heinzig. She was a 1949 graduate of Prague High School. Following graduation, she married John C. Coleman in Vanburen, Arkansas on June 24, 1949 and the two were happily married for 67 years. John preceded her in death on September 15, 2016.

Jo Ann was a dedicated member of the Arlington United Methodist Church. She was homemaker and a farmer. She was known as a hard worker and even as she got older, continued to work her farm and take of her cattle. She loved to grow and take care of her roses. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She loved her Lord and was dedicated to living her life in His image.

Jo Ann was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 67 years, John C. Coleman and one brother, Leon Henzig.

She is survived by her daughter, Phyllis Martin of Prague; granddaughter Ashley Taylor Hall and her husband Kenneth Riddle of Choctaw; granddaughter, Cassidy Tolleson and her husband Jess of Prague; great-grandsons, Brock Tolleson; Logan Tolleson and his wife Tori of Prague and John Tolleson of Prague; great-grandchildren; Lynsey West of Oklahoma City, Landin Hall of Shawnee; great-great-granddaughter, Timber Tolleson of Prague; nephew, Chris Heinzig of Wewoka; cousin, Barbara Bullard of Prague and many loving family and friends.
