Samuel Lee Coleman Sr., age 68, passed away after a long illness at his Davenport, Oklahoma, home on August 31, 2022.
His passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who loved him just the way he was.
Sammy was born in Oklahoma City on July 15, 1954, to Billy Gene and Mary Francis Coleman. Sam was the only son born to this union.
Sam loved living the country life. If he could have fished for a living, he would have done that in a heartbeat. Sammy loved banana pudding with extra vanilla wafers, round steak (bologna) and he was the first person in Lincoln County to put peanuts in his Coke -- well Pepsi in his case.
Sammy graduated from Prague Schools and voted wittiest of his 1972 class. Sammy carried that sense of humor throughout his life which served him well during some of his most challenging times and especially during these past few years of poor health. Following graduation Sam worked many jobs including many years at Allied in Stroud and ended his work life supervising the placement of fiber optic cables across the mid-west.
Sam is preceded to Heaven by his parents Father, Billy Gene Coleman, his mother, Mary Francis Coleman McGinnis, his stepfather Buck McGinnis. His precious sisters, Linda Sue Rogers, Brenda McGinnis an infant nephew Jason Eugene Rogers as well as bothers-in-law, Don Cale and Jimmie Roye.
Those he left behind on this earthly plane are: His Children- Samuel Lee Coleman Jr. (Little Sammy), Casandra (Candi) Coleman, Billie Jean Coleman Pascual, and Colby Coleman.
