Shannon Wayde Kessler, longtime Agra resident passed from this life at his home surrounded by family on January 20, 2023. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing.
Shannon was born on April 25, 1963, in Hutchison, Kansas to proud parents Harold and Bobbie (Griffis) Kessler. He was a very mechanical man that could fix anything and worked primarily as a mechanic/field technician working on cranes. Above everything else in life, Shannon loved his family. He considered himself blessed to have a very close relationship with his siblings that spanned into his adult life. He deeply loved his wife Christy and their children, Bobbie, Elizabeth, and Shannon. If he wasn't working, most likely Shannon was spending time with family, especially his grandchildren.
Shannon is preceded in death by his father Von Kessler, mother, Bobbie Kessler, and sister Robin Kessler. He is survived by his wife Christy of the home; children, Bobbie & Jacob Ledford of Perkins, OK, Elizabeth Kessler of Agra, OK & son Shannon Kessler II of Inman, SC; grandchildren, Nate, Nicky, Rayven, Teagan & Olivia; and sister Laurie Tucker as well as many extended family and friends.
Graveside Services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, January 23, 2023, at Parkland Cemetery in Agra, Oklahoma. Pastor Jeff Kelly of First Baptist Church of Agra will officiate.
