Robert Patrick Hoban was born June 28, 1940 in Heartwell, Nebraska to William and Evelyn (Beckius) Hoban. He passed away March 26, 2022 in his home in Wellston at the age of 81.
Bob was the second of seven children. He loved God and did life as he felt was right and Godly. Church was a huge part of his life as he was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Chandler. He enjoyed traveling to Colorado and fishing. Bob started working on heavy equipment in his garage. As the business grew he eventually owned and operated Track Shop Unlimited in Wellston where he was able to work with his son, Mike Barnes for many years. Bob was a great example of a loving husband, grandpa, and great grandpa who loved spending time with his family.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, William and Evelyn Hoban; brothers, William Hoban, Jack Hoban; and his son, Mike Barnes. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Patricia (Fritzemeyer) Hoban of the home; children, Beth Hendriks, Kelly Holt, Mark Hoban; along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family and friends
.A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Chandler with Father Tim Ruckel officiating and interment following in the Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
