Bill Wayland, long-time Chandler, Oklahoma, resident was born November 18, 1939, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He departed this life on March 16, 2019, at the age of 79 years.

Bill was the son of Garland and Lela (Porter) Wayland. He graduated from Chandler High School in 1957. Bill married April Mason at the Forest Baptist Church near Chandler on March 30, 1963. He served in the Oklahoma National Guard. Bill was in the construction and trucking business for many years. He owned and operated Wayland Construction since 1979. Bill was a member of the Forest Baptist Church, past Master of the Chandler Masonic Lodge, and past member of the Rotary Club of Chandler. He loved riding motorcycles, restoring old tractors, and watching football. Bill will be greatly missed.

His parents; two brothers, Junior and Mike; and four sisters, Doris, Faye, Wanda, and Kathy have preceded Bill in death.

Survivors include his wife, April Wayland; one son and daughter-in-law, Billy and Christina Wayland; one daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Gary Schroeder; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Glen and Judy Wayland, and John and Donna Wayland; one sister and brother-in-law, Treva and Buford Parrot; sisters-in-law, Vivian Wayland and Alicia Wayland; grandchildren, Kyle & Sarah Wayland, Davin & Brandie Perkins, Jocelynne Wayland, Jaedyn Wayland, Jordyn Wayland, Mason Carver, Wes & Anneleen Schroeder, Scott & Miranda Schroeder, Brittany & Jason Hightower, and Ben Schroeder; great-grandchildren, Mabel, Taylen, Lucas, & Penelope; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, March 19, 2019, at the Chandler Southern Baptist Church with Rev. Keith Henley officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Park Cemetery in Chandler. Arrangements are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler, Oklahoma.

The Wayland family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Monday evening, March 18, 6:00PM to 8:00PM.
