Harold Dean Tappe of Prague, Oklahoma, passed away on March 9, 2021 in Shawnee, Oklahoma at the age of 66. Harold was born in Oklahoma City on March 27, 1954. He was the son of the late Harry Jr. and Rita T. (Ast) Tappe. Harold was raised in Claremore and Shawnee before moving to Prague in high school. After high school, Harold proudly served his country by enlisting in the United States Army. During his time in the US Army, Harold spent over two years in Germany.
Harold married Margie Lee Freeze on May 21, 1976. The couple made their home in Prague. They had one son, Jonathon Tappe. Harold worked at Tinker Air Force Base until his retirement. Harold was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved spending time outdoors. Harold was a loving husband, father and friend and will be missed by many.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Ronald Gene Tappe; one sister, Janice Thomas; his aunt, Rosemary Tappe; one niece, Janiece Kelly; one nephew, Mike Orso and his father and mother-in-law, George and Lorene Freeze.
He is survived by his loving wife of over 44 years, Margie Lee Tappe; one son, Jonathon Tappe; one brother, David Tappe and his wife Katie; sisters-in-law, Janet Baker and her husband Dean and Judy Frost and her husband Mike; nieces and nephews, Andy Thomas, Christina Cook, Matthew Tappe, Brian Tappe, Reanna Orso, Amy Tappe, David Tappe, Kema Vasser, David Frost and Becky Frost, Larry Baker and Sheila Powell and a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, family and friends.
