William George "Bill" Tait II, long-time Chandler, Oklahoma, resident was born on April 26, 1929, in Ontario, Canada, and departed this life on September 27, 2018, at his home in Chandler, Oklahoma, at the age of 89 years.
Bill was the son of William and Florence (Kinsey) Tait. He married Eileen McClean on May 15, 1948, in Brampton, Ontario. Bill started working in the brick manufacturing business in Canada. He moved his family to the United States in 1965 and eventually ended up in Oklahoma working as Vice President of the Oklahoma Brick Company in Union City. Bill had numerous business interest over the years, beef ranching and dairy farming. In 1978 they built "Taits Glen Mobile Home Park", owned and operated a convenience store, and eventually a green house. After his retirement he enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family. Bill will be greatly missed.
His parents preceded Bill in death.
Survivors include his wife of seventy years, Eileen Tait of the home; four children, Jim Tait and wife Jane of Barre, Vermont, Bob Tait and girlfriend Janet Albert of Ontario, Canada, Dee Dee Helm and husband Wade of Chandler, Curtis Tait and wife Angie of Chandler; one sister Jean McLaughlin of Ontario, Canada; twelve grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM, Monday, October 1, 2018,at the First Presbyterian Church in Chandler, with Pastor Bruce Newby officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler, Oklahoma.
Bills family will be receiving friends at the Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Chandler from 4:00PM to 6PM on Sunday, September 30, 2018.
