Ronald Dean Richardson, life-long resident of Chandler, Oklahoma, passed away on Friday, October 7, 2022, at the age of 78.
Ronald was born on Sunday, December 12, 1943, in Chandler, to Bill and Dorthy (Anderson) Richardson. He grew up and attended school in Chandler, graduating from Chandler High School in 1962. During his younger years, he worked as a mechanic at his father's filling station in Chandler. After high school, Ronald joined the United States National Guard where he worked as a mechanic and supply sergeant. He retired as Chief Warrant Officer 4 working at the Oklahoma Military Department performing audits for the military. He proudly served in the National Guard for several years.
On June 29, 1972, Ronald married Wilma Duncan in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Wilma preceded him in death in 2017.
After retirement, Ronald served as a Sunday school teacher at Chandler Assembly of God where he was a member for over 25 years. He was a blessed man and was a blessing to others. He loved to read the Bible, enjoyed going fishing, working on his house and garden, playing solitaire on his phone, and working on Sudoku puzzles. Ronald also enjoyed watching Fox News, old westerns, and football with his grandsons, and catching up with “Little Billy” on the phone every week.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Dorthy Richardson; his wife of 45 years, Wilma Richardson; his brother, Bill Richardson; and a grandson, James Brewer.
Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Cara Murray, Cassandra Tyler, Larry Brewer and daughter-in-law, Tonja Brewer, and Stephanie Mullen and Paul Gough; his grandchildren, Ashley Wright and husband Robbie, Britton James Smith, Westley Smith, Tiffney Easley, David Garrison, Christopher Garrison, Brandon Tyler, Sydney Mullen, Hayley Mullen, and Emyley Mullen; great-grandchildren, Lilly Wright, Loki Wright, Jace Brewer, Jameson Smith, Charli Smith, Kailynn Murray, Chloe Elias, Rylee McGlasson, Steven McGlasson, David Garrison II, Cazzalynn Garrison, Cecilia Garrison, and Katherine Garrison; his sister and brother-in-law, Wilda and Billy Reedy ; brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Nancy Tillis; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other family members, and many, many, friends.
