Jerry Nelson, the daughter of Bill and Viola Sprague was born March 13, 1933 in Chandler. She attended Chandler High School and graduated in 1951. She passed away January 30, 2021 in Chandler at the age of 87.
Jerry married Leo Nelson of Eagle Grove, Iowa July 5, 1952. They spent four years in the Navy and returned to Chandler to make their home. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and Eastern Star. Jerry worked at the Telephone Company, Union National Bank and served as Secretary for the United Methodist Church.
Jerry was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers and sisters. She is survived by one daughter, Jeri Len Hylton and her husband Jeff of Spring, TX; two granddaughters, Kristan Briggs and her husband Derek of Spring, TX, Keri Len Nickels and her husband Jason of Clinton, OK; four great-grandchildren, Aiden and Aubrey Nickels, and Duncan and Peyton Briggs; sisters-in-law, Anita Idio, Judy Sprague, and Lois Sprague.
A graveside memorial service will be held at Oak Park Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
