Janet Louise Fatheree Ford

ford-j-l

November 6, 1953 ~ September 19, 2024

Janice Louise (Fatheree) Ford passed away Thursday, September 19, 2024, with the love of her family surrounding her.

Janice was born November 6, 1953, in Memphis, Tennessee, to Dottis (Schneider) and Benjamin Fatheree. She graduated from Northwest Classen High School in Oklahoma City in 1971. She met the love of her life and best friend William "Bill" Ford on a blind date in 1969. They married on October 15, 1971.

Janice and Bill moved to Chandler, Oklahoma in 1979. She worked alongside Bill for over 40 years in his accounting and tax preparation business. Janice was warm and friendly. She truly never met a stranger and could strike up an authentic conversation with anyone. She was a giver - of her time, her support, and her steadfast opinions. Both artistically and mechanically inclined, she was equally skilled at working on art projects with her grandchildren and making repairs around the home she and Bill shared.

She will be greatly missed by her husband of 52 years, Bill; one son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Mackenzie Ford of Oklahoma City; one daughter, Lindsay Ford of Norman; two grandchildren, Lucinda Gowan and Shiloh Ford; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Barbara and Dan Gilbert of Carrollton, Texas, and Diane Fatheree and Jim Prugh of Lakewood, CO; one nephew, Ben Prugh; as well as extended family members and friends.

Janice was predeceased by her parents, Ben and Dottis.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at the First United Methodist Church in Chandler with Reverend Eric Coker and Reverend Jim Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Park Cemetery.

A come and go visitation will be held from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Monday, September 23, 2024, at the Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Chandler.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society at donate@cancer.org.
