Glory Maria (Hendrix) Allen was born on February 25, 1960, in Hampton, Virginia and passed away August 10, 2024, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 64.
Glory spent time in Virginia and Florida before moving to Chandler, Oklahoma in 1975. She was a proud alum of the Chandler class of 1978. Glory married her high school sweetheart Steve Allen, on August 3,1978, the couple just celebrated their 46th year of marriage. Glory was a spitfire of a person. An amazing mother to Tedina and C.J. and a friend to many. She brought an unwavering amount of joy and love into many people's lives through friendship and counseling.
She was a warrior who survived breast cancer twice with courage and strength and one "vicious" skunk attack. Glory will leave an imprint on the many people she has met along the way. She was known for not holding her tongue and being a great storyteller. She was uncensored, unapologetic in her convictions, loyal, loving, and a beautiful woman. She brought chaos and laughter anywhere she went. She enjoyed Jeep rides through the mountains of Colorado with Steve, riding horses, all her dogs, and most importantly being a 'Gro Gro' to her grandchildren, of whom she was tremendously proud. Glory was one of a kind.
Glory was preceded in death by her stepfather John "JB" Brumbaugh, uncle John Maddy, father and mother-in-law Ervin and Hazel Allen, sisters-in-law Sharen Allen, and Karen Allen. Survivors include Mother Jane Brumbaugh of Wildwood Florida, loving husband Steve Allen, daughter Tedina Mariah White, son Christopher John "C.J." Allen and wife Jacalyn, sisters Emily and husband Bo Pruitt, Phillippe and husband Michael Wahoff, brother Robert and wife Crystal Mugler, grandchildren Brayden and wife Kylie Danker, Bradley and Caleb Beloncik, Hazel and Mickey Allen, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and many other family and friends.
