Joan Elizabeth Nutter Douglas was born on July 2nd, 1929 to Jesse T. Nutter and Delsie Ann Williams Nutter in Kellyville, Oklahoma. She married Cordues Leroy "Doug" Douglas on November 11, 1947 in Bristow, Oklahoma. To this union two children were born, Virgil Lee Douglas and Diane Douglas. She moved from Bristow to Stroud in 1956 where they purchased the Otasco store and operated the store through 1978. She moved to Paden, OK in 2004.
She was active member of the First Baptist Church, Paden, OK where she was Sunday School Secretary, Church Clerk and other activities.
Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, Doug 1979, son Virgil Lee 1988, sister Martha Wilson 1997, brother Jesse Nutter Jr 2009.
Survivors are: daughter and son-in-law Diane and David Seaton of Paden, OK. 6 grandchildren: Candy Cook & husband Daniel of Kellyville, OK; Lora Seaton of Paden, OK; Amy Seaton Hale & husband Billy of Depew, OK; Travis Seaton & wife Cynthia of Paden, Michael Strutton & wife Christina of Bristow, OK, Kaye Branum & husband Jason of Grandby, MO. 17 great-grandchildren, 3 great great-grandchildren. Many other relatives and friends.
Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, December 10, 2018 at First Baptist Church of Paden, OK with Brother Terry Pittman officiating. Interment will follow at New Zion Cemetery in Chandler, OK. Tributes and condolences can be left on the funeral home website at www.ParksBrothers.net. In lieu of flowers family is asking for donations to Cancer Research in honor of her name. Services under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague, OK.
