DOROTHY MARIE SHAW

February 27, 1923 - June 6, 2018

Dorothy Marie Shaw was born February 27, 1923, in Verden, OK to Herl Clifford Peck and Maud Victoria (Phillips) Peck. She was called home on Wednesday, June 6, 2018.

Dorothy graduated from Anadarko High School. After graduation, she moved to Oklahoma City where she was employed by Douglas Aircraft. Dorothy married Ronelle Earl Shaw on August 21, 1947 in Oklahoma City.

Dorothy was an active member of the First Christian Church of Meeker for many years. She and her husband operated a diary farm and cattle ranch near Meeker. She was an avid gardener and loved to sew and crochet. Her love for the Lord and her family was her greatest joy.

Dorothy's sister, Virginia Henry; her brother, Glen Peck; her great grandson, William Ronelle Tate and her husband Ronelle preceded her in death.

Dorothy is survived by her brothers, Fred and wife Jo Ann Peck of Oklahoma City and Edd and wife Carolyn Peck of Midwest City; son, Edward and wife, Jeanne Shaw of Owasso; daughter, Marilyn and husband, Mark Tate of Meeker; 4 grandsons, Robert Shaw and wife, Shelley of Owasso, Christopher Shaw and wife, Angela of Owasso, Michael Tate of Meeker and Matthew Tate and wife, Tiffany of Meeker; six great grandsons, Ethan, Luke and Braden Shaw of Owasso, Mason and Brazen Tate of Shawnee and Jimmy Tate of Meeker; two great granddaughters, Olivia and Arabella Shaw of Owasso; three sisters-in-law, Frankie Story of Meeker, LaDonna and Husband Bill Welborn of Meeker and Clara Peck of Richmond, Virginia; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 11, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Mammoth Baptist Church in Meeker with Pastor Mike Hazelwood officiating. Interment will follow at New Hope Cemetery in Meeker. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
