JAMES DAVID ROSE

March 31, 1940 - October 30, 2017

James “Jim” David Rose was born on March 31, 1940, in Shawnee, and departed this life on Monday, October 30, 2017, at his home in Meeker, Oklahoma, at the age of 77.

Jim, the son of James Herbert and Emma Louise (Hopkins) Rose, was a life-long resident of Meeker. Jim married Ella Ruth Grove on December 12, 1963.

Jim’s parents; sister, Judith Wilson; sister-in-law, Helen Marie Rose; brother-in-law, Michael Lee Kline preceded him in death.

Jim is survived by his wife, Ella Ruth Rose; sons, David Wendell Coffey and husband, Forrest Billingsley, of Guthrie and Wesley Paul Coffey, of Meeker; daughter, Susan Janelle (Rose) Steele and husband, Shannon, of Tulsa; brother, Larry Eugene Rose, of Shawnee; grandchildren, Stephanie Rose Steele, of Norman and Sarah Nicole (Steele) Martin and husband Ryan; great grandchildren, Canaan James Martin and Elaina Rose Martin of Edmond; sister-in-law, Carolann Kline and many other family and friends.
