Frank Edward Keeter

Frank Edward Keeter was born on July 17, 1936, to Thomas and Margaret Keeter in Stilwell, Oklahoma. He departed this life February 6, 2025, at the age of 88.

Frank graduated from Stilwell High School in 1954. He then attended Connors State Junior College for two years and finished his bachelor's and master's degree at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah.

On August 18, 1961, Frank Keeter and Margaret Burgett were united in marriage. From this union three children were born, Kimberly, Kendell, and Thomas. He was the principal at Gypsy Public Schools for numerous years until his retirement.

In his spare time Frank enjoyed gardening, hunting, and fishing. He also spent time coaching youth sports including basketball, baseball and soccer.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Margaret Keeter; three children, Kimberly Keeter, Kendell Keeter and wife Kathy, Thomas Keeter and wife Tracy; one brother, Vyrl Keeter; one sister, Wanda Martin; four grandchildren, Alison Keeter, Malachi Keeter, Vincent Keeter, and Samuel Keeter. Numerous nephews, nieces and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Ray Dean Keeter, Duward Keeter, Gus Keeter, and Jerry Keeter: one sister, Betty Fritts.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00AM, Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at the Bristow Free Will Baptist Church. Interment will follow at the New Hope Cemetery in Stilwell, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Hutchins Maples Matherly Funeral Home.
