Georgia Louise Bishop Flowers

Georgia “Louise” Flowers of Meeker, passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2020 at the age of 80 years old. Louise was born on March 17, 1940 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of George Leroy and Minnie Ola (Gentry) Bishop. Louise was a graduate of Meeker High School and proudly attended the Meeker First Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed by many.

Louise loved to cook and she was great at it. It did not matter what it was, she could fix it and you knew it was going to taste great. She also loved to cross stitch. She put great effort and detail in the works she created. She loved to eat Mexican food and was an avid basketball fan, especially of the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Louise worked many years as a blueprint inspector for Hughes Helicopter in Tempe, Arizona. Upon returning to Oklahoma, Louise went to work for the Prague National Bank (later Vision Bank), where she worked until her retirement.

Louise was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Billie Bowen and Betty Friend and two brothers, Edward (Jack) Bishop and Lloyd Bishop.

She is survived by her husband, Joe Flowers of the home; two sons, Ron Smith of Oklahoma City and Greg Smith and his wife, Carolina of Avondale, Arizona; two grandchildren, Josh Smith and Justin Clark; one sister-in-law, Donna Welch of Shawnee; one sister, Mildred (Tootsie) White; one brother, Ray Bishop; nieces and nephews, Larry White, Phyllis Richerson, Linda Bishop, DeeAnna Igleheart; Janet Cox, JC Bowen, Mike Sturdivan, Kay Bluethman, Terri Terrel and Sabrina Hamrick. She is also survived by many loving family and friends.
