SANDRA KAYE YOUNG
1954 - 2016


Sandra Kaye Ellison Young was born on October 5, 1954, to the late Charles H. Ellison and Lula Ellison Gordon in Prague. She departed this life on Monday, September 26, 2016, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 61.
Sandra attended Prague High School and was the first black woman to become a cheerleader at Prague High School.
She accepted Christ at an early age. Later in her young years Sandra and Larry Green united and one child was born, Gary Ellison.
Sandra loved to work and had many jobs to include working at Prague nursing home and cleaning homes for others. She loved to cook and to make people laugh. Sandra loved to shop at garage sales. She had another love too; his name is John Hobb. John was with her until her homegoing on September 26, 2016. Now she is in God’s arms.
Preceding her in death are her parents, her son, Webster Dean, two sisters and two brothers.
She leaves these loved ones to cherish her memory fiance John Hobb; son and daughter-in-law Gary and Cheri Ellison; her loving grandchildren Makayela and Kaydence Ellison; sisters and brothers-in-law Dorothea and Lawrence Burdine, Darlene and Lee Newell, and Wanda Randall; brothers Jevon Ellison, Marvin Ellison and Lorenzo Ellison and a host of nephews and nieces and lots of friends.
The Young family will receive friends on Thursday, September 29, 2016 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Parks Brothers Funeral Home in Prague.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Calvary Way in Prague with Rev. Starland Davis officiating.
Interment will follow at Prague Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
