CARL RAYMOND YOUNG
1946 - 2013


Carl Raymond Young was born in Chandler, Oklahoma on December 13, 1946 and departed this life in Davenport, Oklahoma on Friday, April 19, 2013 at the age of 66 years.
Carl was the son of William Raymond and Ida Jean Hamm Young.
He was a resident of Davenport, Oklahoma most of his life and graduated from Davenport High School in 1965.
He served in the United States Army National Guard in Chandler, Oklahoma.
He served as Chief of Police in Kelleyville, Oklahoma from 1974-1987, after relocating in Davenport he retired from Expanded Metal in Chandler as a machinist and was a member of the First Christian Church in Davenport, Oklahoma.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one half sister.
Survivors include one son and daughter in law, Daniel and Jackie Young of Kelleyville, Oklahoma, one daughter, Carla Kay Talamantes of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, half brother, Billy Young of Davenport, Oklahoma, step brothers, Robert and Larry Campbell of Davenport, Oklahoma, two sisters,, Joyce Webb and Jeanette Johnson of Davenport, Oklahoma, half sister, Mary Beth Young of Davenport, Oklahoma, step sister, Patricia Young of Davenport, Oklahoma, five grandchildren, Stephen Anthony Young, Daniel Raymond Young Jr., Faith Renee, husband Michael Nanamaker, Carlos Antonio Talamantes and Selena Kay Talamantes, two great grandchildren, Isabella and Elana Renee Young, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at the First Christian Church in Davenport, Oklahoma on Friday, April 26, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Ron Keeling officiating.
Burial will follow in the Davenport Cemetery, Davenport, Oklahoma under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud, Oklahoma.
