Gail Suzanne Pettit Wright was born on July 30, 1951, in Tulsa, and departed this life on Thursday, July 4, 2013, in Drumright, Oklahoma, at the age of 61.Gail, the daughter of William and Virginia White Pettit, was a resident of Drumright.She married Carson Wright on March 18, 1972.Gail graduated from Sapulpa High School in 1969, after graduating Gail attended Oklahoma State University, Seminole State College and then completed her bachelor's degree from East Central University in Ada. Gail was a retired elementary teacher from Varnum Schools near Seminole where she was a devoted first and second grade teacher.A skilled musician, Gail was often called up by soloist from the Prague High School band for accompaniment in solo and ensemble competitions. Gail was also a member of the Prague First Baptist Church where she was an organist and pianist for 30 years.She preceded in death by her parents and by two brothers, Sam and Paul Pettit.She is survived by her husband, Carson of Cushing; son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Jennifer Wright of Choctaw; grandaughter, Gentry Gail Wright; one brother, David Pettit of Sapulpa; mother-in-law, LaDoris Wright of Cushing; brother and sister-in-law, Phil and Leona Wright of Chandler; sister-in-law, Darlene Lau of Stroud; and friends too many to mention.Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 8, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Prague with Bro. Tim Emmons officiating.Interment will follow at Stroud Cemetery.Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Stroud.
