1922 - 2015
Alberta Leon Wright passed away at the age of 93, on October 15, 2015 in Midwest City with his loving family by his side.Abb was born on August 15, 1922 to the late Tell B. and Dora Faires Wright in Avery, Oklahoma.He grew up in the surrounding areas and attended Ravendale Public Schools.Abb meet and married the love of his life, Wanda Talley on January 11, 1940, and to this union three children were born, Jeannine, Sharon and Terry.He soon joined the United States Navy in 1944 and was honorably discharged, together they moved to Del City where they made their home.Abb enjoyed many things, going to the horse races, coaching baseball, playing dominoes, and fishing in as many different places as he could. He also enjoyed bird hunting and tinkering in his shop, but most of all he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, and great-grand grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.He is survived by one daughter, Sharon Jefferson, one son, Terry Wright and wife Kathy, ten grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, and nineteen great-great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Wanda, and one daughter, Jeannine Dickerson, two brothers and one sister and one son in-law, John Dickerson.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at the Palmer Marler Funeral Home Chapel, Cushing, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at Flynn Cemetery.Arrangements are entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing, Oklahoma.Condolences and online guest book are available at www.palmermarlerfh.com.
