CHALIN WAYNE WORTHY
1989 - 2008
Chalin Wayne Worthy died Sunday, June 1, 2008 on Grand Lake at the age of 18 years.The son of Joe Wayne Worthy and Linnie Marie Hilburn Worthy, Chalin was born on July 28, 1989 in Waldron, Arkansas and was reared and educated in the Milfay, Oklahoma schools.Chalin was a gifted mechanic; he enjoyed farming, mud bogging and aggravating his little sister.Survivors include his parents Joe and Linnie Worthy of the home in Stroud; a son Maximus Worthy of Paden, Oklahoma; a sister Meagan Worthy of the home; two brothers, Joseph Whittington of Tulsa; and Anthoney Worthy of Springfield, Missouri; his grandparents, Wanda Worthy Porton of Stroud; Step-Grandfather Aubrey Bounds of Stroud; and Earl Hilburn and his wife June of Stroud; numerous aunts, uncles and other relatives and friends.He was preceded in death by his Grandfather Wayne Worthy and his Grandmother Mary Bounds.Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. in the Milfay Gymnasium with Reverend Frosty Whitmore, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Milfay, officiating.Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. in the Flynn Cemetery, southwest of Cushing.
