CODY DEAN WOOD
1958 - 2014
Cody Dean Wood of Carney, Oklahoma, was born on February, 1, 1958 at Harrah, Oklahoma, and departed this life on February 14, 2014, in Oklahoma City, at the age of 56 years.
Cody was the son of Leighton and Jane Ellen Newcomer Wood. He attended Carney Public Schools and lived on the family farm where he resided at the time of his death.
His father, three brothers-in-law, one nephew and one great nephew preceded Cody in death.
Survivors include his mother, Jane Ellen Wood of Newalla, Oklahoma; brother and sister-in-law, Theodore and Nellie Wood of Chandler, Oklahoma; sister Katherine Trotter of Midwest City, Oklahoma; sister, Linda Richardson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; sister, Becky Wall of Newalla, Oklahoma; brother, Willie Wood of Springville, California; brother, Ronnie Wood of Newalla, Oklahoma; sister Frances Holmes of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; brother, Larry Wood of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; sister and brother-in-law, Vickie and Al Simmons of Mulhall, Oklahoma; brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Carlotta Wood of Edmond, Oklahoma; brother and sister-in-law, J. D. and Linda Wood of Perkins, Oklahoma; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 19, 2014, at the Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Chandler, Oklahoma.
Burial will follow at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery near Chandler, Oklahoma with Rev. Mike Mitchell officiating.
Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler, Oklahoma.
