JOHNNY WASHINGTON WILSON
1937 - 1997
Lifelong Lincoln County resident Johnny Washington Wilson died Thursday, December 18, in Stroud at the age of 60.He was born July 14, 1937, in Chandler, the son of Hobson O. and Minnie E. Evans Wilson.He married Joannie Carter on September 11, 1968, in Chandler.Wilson had worked as a heavy equipment operator.He was preceded in death by his parents and one son.He is survived by his wife, Joannie Wilson, Davenport; two sons, Kevin Wilson, Shawn Wilson, both of Davenport; godchildren, Kayla and Gerome; brothers, Bill, Gene and Fred Wilson, all of Davenport, four grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.Services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel, Chandler, with the Rev. Lee Lee Lewis officiating.Burial will be in New Zion Cemetery, Chandler.Published December 20, 1997.
