JOHN FINLEY WILSON
1919 - 1976
John F. Wilson was born May 16, 1919 in Lincoln county, Stroud, Oklahoma to Rev. and Mrs. John S. Wilson. He was one of nine children.John was a Mason, a veteran of World War II, a member of Veteran of Foreign War Post #9457 Oklahoma City, an employee of Tinker Air Force Base until his health forced him to retire.John was united in marriage to Fern Summers on September 1, 1967 and to this union one child was born. By previous marriage to Jessie Mae Wilson, three children were born.On May 22, 1976 after a long illness, John departed this life.He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Fern of the home; four daughters, Glenda Wilson of the home; Louise Tate of Stroud, Oklahoma; Narvalene Christopher and Irene Wilson of Oklahoma City; three brothers, J. B. Wilson of Phoenix, Arizona; Lloyd Wilson of San Francisco, California; and Willie Wilson of Cleveland, Ohio; five sisters, Anna Laura Campbell of Gary, Indiana; Gertrude Montgomery of Philadephia, Pennsylvania; Vivian Lawrence of Park Forest, Illinois; Lillie Jewel McDonald of Chattahooche, Tennessee; and Mary Ella Wiggins of San Diego, California; one aunt, Ella B. Argrow of Stroud, Oklahoma; step-mother, Somatha Wilson of Oklahoma City; seven stepsons, Leroy, Paul and Leslie Davis; Alvin, Ralph and Luther Thomas; and Larry Summers; four stepdaughters, Helen Mixon, Dorothy Neal and Mary and Helen Thomas; thirty two grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
