1925 - 2014
Meeker resident, Marie G. Wilkerson was born in Denver, Colorado on June 16, 1925 and departed this life in Meeker on March 15, 2014 at the age of 88.Marie was married to W. E. "Bill" Wilkerson in Oklahoma City on June 25, 1944 and he preceded her in death on August 9, 1999.Marie was a homemaker and member of the First Christian Church of Meeker.She was also preceded in death by her parents.Survivors include her brothers in law, Jerry and Judy Wilkerson, Meeker; Jimmie G. and Linda Wilkerson, Bell Plaines, Kansas; and Robert C. "Rand" and Louise Wilkerson, Meeker; sisters in law Bobbie Bowen and Leota Ward, Meeker; several nieces and a host of other relatives and friends.Viewing and visitation will be at Parks Brothers Meeker Funeral Chapel from 4:00 p.m. Sunday until 9:00 a.m. Tuesday.Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. at New Hope Cemetery in Meeker with Bro. Joe Jones officiating.Active pallbearers will be Mark Wilkerson, Leon Wilkerson, Johnny Kimbley, Alvin Ward, Adam Wilkerson and Fred Wilkerson.Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Bowen and Jimmy Bowen.
