Jerry Franklin Wilkerson, 78, Meeker, Oklahoma, passed away Tuesday, November 11, 2014 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.Jerry was born September 3, 1936 in Rossville, Oklahoma to Muriel Augusta Martin and Warner E. Wilkerson.Jerry was a lifelong Lincoln County resident except for the years he was in the U.S. Navy in the late 1950’s, on the U.S.S. Yorktown.Jerry was a machinist at Tinker Air Force Base and retired in 1993.He was a faithful member of the Northridge Church of Christ in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Jerry was an avid fisherman, loved camping, boating, hunting, his tractor and working his land for improvements.Jerry married Judith Cash on September 16, 1962 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; they enjoyed 52 years of marriage together.Jerry is survived by his wife Judith Wilkerson of Meeker, Oklahoma; one son Jerry Leon Wilkerson, and one daughter Alicia June Hulett both of Meeker, Oklahoma. He is also survived by two brothers; Robert Wilkerson of Meeker and Jimmy Wilkerson of Belle Plaine, Kansas and two sisters Leota Ward and Bobbie Bowen both of Meeker, Oklahoma, and one granddaughter Christina Marie Hulett. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be, 2:00 p.m., Thursday, November 13, 2014, at the Northridge Church of Christ at, 1001 E. MacArthur in Shawnee, Oklahoma, with Wayne Stephens officiating, assisted by Paul Lofton and Cliff Craig.Burial will follow at the New Hope Cemetery in Meeker, Oklahoma. Military honors will be provided by the U.S. Navy at the Church. Casket bearers will be Brian Hulett, Allen McCullough, Jerry Leon Wilkerson, Mark Wilkerson, Johnny Wayne Kimbley and Alan Buck.Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
