1912 - 1999
Marlys F. Koopman Wiese, 87, died Thursday in Oklahoma City.She was born on March 13, 1912, in Little Rock, Iowa, to Carl and Anna Michelke Koopman.She married Harry A. Wiese Sr., on August 12, 1931, in Madison, South Dakota.They moved to Chandler after retiring in 1969. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Chandler.She was preceded in death by her husband in 1979, her parents, three sisters and two brothers.Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Harry A. and Maxine Wiese of Chandler, sister, Ann Ghyst of Atlanta, Georgia, four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and other relatives and many friends.Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday at the First United Methodist Church, Chandler, with the Rev. Hugh Willoby officiating.Burial will be in Oak Park Cemetery, Chandler.Arrangements are under the direction of the Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Chandler.Published May 1, 1999.
