JIMMIE LAVERNA WATKINS
1922 - 2013


Jimmie Laverna Paschal Watkins, long-time Sparks, Oklahoma, resident was born on March 20, 1922, in Whitehouse, Arkansas, and departed this life on April 16, 2013, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 91 years.
Jimmie was the daughter of Sherman and Francis Kinion Paschal.
She married Lawrence Watkins in 1939 in Winslow, Arkansas.
Jimmie worked as a seamstress for many years and was a member of Faith Believers Church in Sparks.
Her parents, three brothers and eight sisters preceded Jimmie in death.
Survivors include one son, Gerald Watkins of Davenport, Oklahoma, two daughters, Eva Cook of Columbus, Ohio and Dona Mitchell of Jackson, Mississippi, eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 19, 2013, at Faith Believers Church in Sparks, Oklahoma, with Ron Walker officiating.
Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery in Meeker, Oklahoma.
Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler, Oklahoma.
