WILLIAM WESLEY WALLIS JR.
1923 - 2005


ENID -- Services for William Wesley "Bill" Wallis Jr., 81, of Enid, will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday in the Henninger-Allen Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Linda Sherry and the Rev. Rick Mills officiating. Interment will be at 3:00 p.m. in Stroud Cemetery.
He was born on October 17, 1923, in Lebanon, Missouri, to William Wesley Wallis Sr. and Allie Jeffries Wallis and passed away on January 14, 2005, in Integris Baptist Health Center.
He graduated from Muskogee High School and enlisted in the Army where he served as a sergeant during World War II. Upon his discharge, he attended Oklahoma A&M.
He was a manager for 50 years for the C.R. Anthony Company in several stores across Kansas and Texas before settling in Hennessey, Oklahoma. At the time of his death, he was employed with Sears in Enid.
He married Kleta Flaming on June 15, 1991.
He was an avid golfer and Oklahoma State University Cowboy fan. He spent many enjoyable afternoons with his friends in Hennessey visiting and playing cards.
Survivors include his wife, Kleta of the home, daughter, Pamela O'Neill of Norman, a son, William Wallis III and his wife, Jimmie of Ardmore, grandchildren, John Thomas Lawson and wife, Kim, of Edmond, Laura Bowman and husband, Tim, of Edmond, Reagan O'Neill of Norman, Sarah Wallis and Callie Wallis of Ardmore, great-grandchildren, Pamela Bowman, William Hendricks, Jessie Hendricks and Whitney Hendricks, and great-great-grandchildren, Rayna and Ian Hendricks.
He was preceded in death by his parents and infant brother, Wesley Wade Wallis.
Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday in Henninger-Allen Funeral Home Chapel.
