1956 - 2016
Kenneth Eudell Vansill was born May 16, 1956 in Oklahoma City to Willie Edward and Martha Lee Loftis Vansill. He passed away at his home in Meeker on September 15, 2016 at the age of 60.Kenny graduated from Chelsea High School in 1975. He was a proud player on the Chelsea High School "Dragon" football team. After graduation, Kenny served 4 years with the United States Marine Corps.After serving his county, he met and married Tina Geraghty and they lived in Healdton, Oklahoma with their son Chuck, while he worked in the oil field industry. Later Kenny moved to Meeker, Oklahoma where he worked as a truck driver at Irwin’s Pipe and Supply. That is where he met Carla Holleman and in this union, his son Dustin was born.Kenny was a loving and caring person who was always there to give encouragement to family and friends. He loved to hunt mushrooms, wildlife and fish. He loved spending time with his family and friends and will be greatly missed by all.Kenny is preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Martha, brother, Clyde Vansill and nieces, Amanda Jordan and Melissa Ellison.Survivors include his son, Dustin and his wife, Kristin Vansill of Reidsville, North Carolina, Chuck and his wife, Sue Waitman of South Carolina, granddaughters, Sara and Emma Vansill of North Carolina, Briannen Waitman of South Carolina and Aydrianna of Shawnee, siblings, Dinah and her husband, Leslie Aycox, of Meeker, Sandy and her husband, Eddie Roach of Chelsea, Jeannie and her husband Roy Bradley, of Big Cabin, Sheila and her husband Michael Green of Chelsea, David Vansill of Meeker, Tony and Gayle Vansill of Meeker and Pamela Jordan of Chandler, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.A memorial service was held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at the Living Waters Church in Meeker.Arrangements were under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
