Sherry Lynn Gilbert Valliquette was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on December 16, 1959 and departed this life at her home in Stroud, Oklahoma on Friday, September 28, 2012 at the age of 52 years.Sherry was the daughter of Barnett Lloyd and Elva Jearline Dotson Gilbert.She was a long time resident of Stroud and worked as a cook for the Stroud Nursing Home.She was also preceded in death by mother, husband, Bill Valliquette, one brother and one sister.Survivors include one son, Johnny Cody of Kendrick, Oklahoma, one daughter, Rebecca Griffin of Cushing, Oklahoma, step-father, Johnnie Gilbert of Kendrick, Oklahoma, one brother, Daniel Otis Gilbert of Tulsa, Oklahoma, three sisters, Edith Louise Gilbert of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Barndetta Pofahl of Wagoner, Oklahoma and Summer Ulena Gilbert of Stroud, Oklahoma, one Sister-in-law, Lois Gilbert of Davenport, Oklahoma, one granddaughter, Kimber Cody of Kendrick, Oklahoma, other relatives and friends.Memorial service will be held at the First Baptist Church in Davenport, Oklahoma on Thursday, October 4, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Mike Mitchel officiating.Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud, Oklahoma.
