GENEVA CLODINE TOWNSEND
1929 - 2014


Geneva Clodine Evans Townsend was born August 16, 1929 to Rube and Iola Evans in Choctaw, Oklahoma.
She passed away November 4, 2014 with her family by her side.
Geneva lived 35 years in Wellston, Oklahoma until the death of her husband, Cliff. She then moved to Binger, Oklahoma to live with her daughter, Linda, and son-in-law, Ray Goodman where she received excellent loving care. She lived in Binger for 5 years.
She will be remembered for her great sense of humor and exceptional cooking and baking. She made wonderful hot rolls.
Geneva was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 50 years, Cliff Townsend; sisters, Margaret Evans, Lois Langford and Georgia Rodman; brothers, Harley Evans, Ophni Evans and Clifford Evans.
Survivors include her daughter, Linda and her husband Ray Goodman of Binger; sons, Gary Townsend and Susan of Newalla; Don Townsend and his wife Terri of Oklahoma City; Robert Holloway of Stillwell; sisters, Berneice and her husband Herman Eaton of Choctaw; Shirley Eaton of Oklahoma City; nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Her family would like to offer special thanks for all of the wonderful care she was given by Binger Nursing Home, Faith Hospice of Chickasha, Brother Mark Price and Chaplain Dennis King.
A funeral will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 7, 2014 at the Lehman Funeral Home with interment following in the Wellston Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
