MERLE EUGENE TILLISON
1949 - 2011


Merle Eugene Tillison, 62, was born February 25, 1949 in Oklahoma City to B. C. and Mable Tillison and passed away June 21, 2011 in his home in Moore with his family at his side.
Merle married Linda Costas on September 2, 1967.
He was a trim carpenter and cabinet maker, dedicated husband, dad, grandpa, brother and uncle who loved the outdoors.
Merle was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Billy Tillison.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Linda; his children, Shane and wife Carla Tillison of Moore; Paula Tillison and husband Scott Christy of Checotah; Wes and wife Brittany Tillison of Moore; Manley Tillison of Wellston; eight grandchildren, Haley, and Hannah Tillison, Shelby Christy, Dalton and Logan Tillison, Dallas, Mason and Reagan Tillison.
Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday in the Wellston High School Gymnasium with interment following in the Lutheran Cemetery under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
