Opal Evans Thompson, Stroud, died Tuesday in Stroud. She was 92.

She was born July 27, 1908, in Oktaha, the daughter of Wiley and May Moore Evans.

Mrs. Thompson was a resident of Stroud for the past year, moving from Hominy, where she had lived since 1947.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Tulsa.

Mrs. Thompson retired in 1988 after working in Tulsa for the past thirty years as secretary and for the past twenty five years as manager of The Office Service, a telephone answering and secretarial service.

She married Charles H. Thompson in 1934 in Pawhuska. He preceded her in death May 29, 1986.

She also was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Jim Bob and Ann Thompson of Stroud; one sister, Biffle Gordon of Cedar Vale, Kansas; four grandchildren, Beverly Jacob of Frisco, Texas; Bob Thompson of Oklahoma City; Don Thompson of Fort Smith, Arkansas; Jim Thompson of Stroud; eight great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday at Ozro Falls Cemetery near Hewins, Kansas with Jim Thompson officiating.

Services are under the direction of Parks Funeral Home in Stroud.
