MICHAEL OWEN THOMPSON
1955 - 2012


Michael Owen Thompson was born on December 22, 1955, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Friday, October 5, 2012, in Meeker, Oklahoma, at the age of 56.
Mike, the son of Samuel Owen and Mary Jo Parcell Thompson, was a resident of Meeker.
He graduated from Northwest Classen High School in Oklahoma City.
He married Kathy V. Ricketson on December 6, 1997 in Oklahoma City.
Mike was employed by Arvest Bank in building maintenance.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Meeker, president of Little League, enjoyed fishing and baseball with his son, and was talented woodworker.
His father and daughter, Thera, preceded Mike in death.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy Thompson of the home, son, Justin Michael Thompson of the home, mother and step-father, Mary Jo and Gene Hejduk of Oklahoma City, brothers, Gene Thompson of Edmond and Larry Thompson of Del City.
Viewing and visitation will be at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Meeker beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 7.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at 11:00 at the First Baptist Church in Meeker with Rev. Joe Jones officiating.
Interment will follow at New Hope Cemetery in Meeker.
