ALEEN THOMPSON
1933 - 2014


Aleen Thompson passed way on June 24, 2014, at the age of 80, surrounded by family and friends.
Aleen was born in Wellston, Oklahoma to Emerson and Tet Lee Thompson on September 3, 1933.
She grew up and attended Dunbar School in Wellston.
Upon graduation, she was employed in various places including the Lincoln County Health Department and Judd’s Grocery Store before retiring.
Not one to remain idle she pursued her love of cooking and gardening until her illness prevented her from doing so.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother William Thompson; and sisters Saludie Fields and Mary Harraway.
Aleen is survived by her brother Emerson Thompson of Pontiac, Michigan; sons Kerry of Midwest City, Oklahoma; Eddie, Emmerson and Stacy of Phoenix, Arizona; and daughter Teri of Edmond, Oklahoma.
She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, as well as many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services have been entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Cushing, Oklahoma.
Services will be held on Monday, June 30, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Wellston High School Gymnasium.
Interment will follow at the Gardner Cemetery, Wellston, Oklahoma.
