Cherry Ruth Baird Smith Thibodeau was born to Ruth Castle and David C. Baird on May 14, 1953 in Meeker, Oklahoma.She graduated from Meeker High School in 1971.She was married to Thurmon Smith of McLoud and later to Joseph Thibodeau of Bartlesville.She was preceded in death by her oldest daughter, SPC Laurie Renee' Webb, and her father, David C. Baird.After high school, Cherry obtained her beautician's license from Shawnee Beauty College and worked for many years in her mom's beauty shop west of Meeker. She obtained her LPN from Gordon Cooper Technology Center in Shawnee in 1991.She was employed by the VA Hospital in Oklahoma City and later by Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville. In addition to being a beautician and an LPN, she was a loving and devoted mom, step-mom and grandmother.She is survived by her husband, Joseph Thibodeau, of the home; mother, Ruth Baird of Meeker; father-in-law, Don Woods of Bartlesville; daughter, Lacinda Rochelle Smart; sons and daughter-in-law, Justin Ryder and Sherlynn Smith of Newalla; Levi Ryan Smith of McLoud; step-daughter, Tara Vials and her husband, Donald of Dewey; grandchildren, Isabelle Smart of McLoud; Jeremiah Wayne Green of McLoud; step-grandchildren, Madison, Skyla, and Chance Vials of Dewey; brothers and sisters-in-law, David C. and Reba Baird of Meeker, Bert and Janie Baird of Edmond; sister and brother-in-law, Alta Faye and Mark Segovia of Tulsa; numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 23, 2012 at 10:00 a.m., at Morning Star Baptist Church in Meeker with Morning Star pastor, Jerry Jackson, officiating.Interment will follow at Jamison Cemetery.
