ALTA B. TEFERTILLER
1912 - 2009


Alta B. Swearingen Tefertiller, 96, was born October 29, 1912 in Wellington, Kansas and passed away peacefully in her home Saturday, July 25, 2009 surrounded by her family.
Alta was preceded in death by her husband, Earl D. Tefertiller; parents, Charles and Beulah Swearingen; twin sister, Alma Swearingen; and brother, Roy Swearingen.
She is survived by her daughters, Earlene Archer and Pam Tefertiller, both of Wellston, Oklahoma; sister, Thelma Hebbard of Shawnee Mission, Kansas; nieces, Wanda Barnhart and husband Keith of Shawnee Mission, Kansas; Gerry Lou Jonson and husband Robert of Clovis, New Mexico; and her loving and faithful companion, Gippy.
Alta will always be remembered for the twinkle in her eyes, her wonderful smile and her love of life.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Prairie Lawn Cemetery in Wellington, Kansas, under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home, Wellston.
