Ulysses Taylor of Chandler was born September 17, 1943 in Stroud, Oklahoma and died Thursday, February 10, 2011, in Chandler at the age of 67 years.Ulysses, the son of Leslie and Quoner Beaird Taylor, married Bonnie Armstrong on June 27, 1964, in Chandler.He worked for Phillips Petroleum Company as a manager on the Turner Turnpike and he was a member of Central Baptist Church in Chandler.Preceding him in death were his parents, three brothers and one sister.Survivors include wife of 46 years, Bonnie of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Ricky and Danette Taylor of Chandler; one daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Otis Bruner of Shawnee, Oklahoma; two brothers John and Velma Taylor of Chandler; Louis Taylor of San Angelo, Texas; three grandchildren, and one God great-granddaughter, Zayah as well as other relatives and many friends.Funeral services were held Monday, February 14, 2011, at Douglas Community Center in Chandler with Rev. James Reed officiating.Burial followed at Clearview Cemetery in Chandler.Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler, Oklahoma.Published February 17, 2011.
