ERNEST HERMAN STEIN
1920 - 2010


Ernest Herman Stein of Wellston was born September 25, 1920, in Wellston and died Friday, February 19, 2010, at the age of 89 years.
Stein was the son of Fritz Jr. and Rosie B. Jansen Stein.
He married Lenora E. Lorenz on November 25, 1946.
A graduate of Wellston High School, he served in the United States Army during World War II.
He earned his living as a farmer and he was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Wellston.
Preceding him in death were his parents; one son, Ernie Stein; one grandson, Dewayne Stein and one brother in law, Edwin Kirch.
Survivors include his wife, Lenora of the home; two sons and daughter in laws, Dale and Roxie Stein and Alvin and Debbie Stein, all of Wellston; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one sister, Clara Kirch of Rolla, Missouri; and other family and friends.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 23, 2010, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Wellston, with the Rev. Andrew Eckert officiating.
Burial followed at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery under the direction of Brown's Funeral Parlor in Wellston.
