Funeral services for Clarence Space, 73, of Wanette are pending with Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Purcell.Mr. Space died October 18, 2005 at his residence.Published October 20, 2005.
Funeral services for Clarence C. Space, 73, of Wanette were held October 22, 2005 at New Horizons Fellowship Church in Wanette with the Rev. Bill Howse officiating. Interment was at Wellston Cemetery in Wellston under the direction of Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Purcell.Mr. Space died October 18, 2005 at his residence.He was born July 11, 1932 in Lucien, Oklahoma, the oldest of four children of Frank Space and Estella Thornbrue Space. He was reared in the Moore area.At the age of 20 he entered the U.S. Army and served his country during the Korean conflict. After his honorable discharge in 1954, he returned to the Oklahoma City area where he worked for the Armour Food Processing Plant.Mr. Space later worked for the state and then over the years he worked for several different counties in Oklahoma. He also worked at J. H. Holland was a Wanette school bus driver. In 1973, his family moved to Wanette.He was a member of the New Horizons Fellowship Church in Wanette.He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Randall “Randy” Carl Space; one grandson, Michael Bell and two brothers, Earnest Space and Harold Space.Survivors include his wife, Evaline Space; four daughters, Crystal Boland and her husband, Keith, of Wanette; Kathy Bell and her husband, Keith, of Apache; Claudia Smith and her husband, Lynn Smith, of Elgin; and Janice Wilson and her husband, Steve, of Wellston; one sister, Mary C. Tasier; nine grandchildren and one great-grandson.Published October 27, 2005.
