LORRAINE SIGWING
1944 - 2012


Lorraine Moore Sigwing, 68, of Red Rock, passed away Sunday, December 30, 2012 at her nephew, Thomas Beaver McGlaslin's residence.
Lorraine was born on December 10, 1944 in Pawnee, Oklahoma to Minnie Mae English and Johnny Moore, Sr.
She was a very proud member of the Owl Clan of the Otoe-Missouria Tribe.
Lorraine grew up in the Red Rock area and she resided in Stroud, Oklahoma for approximately fifteen years working at a sewing plant and enjoyed being a homemaker for many years. She moved home to Red Rock in 1986 where she served on the Otoe-Missouria Tribal Business Committee for many years serving as Secretary/Treasurer.
She enjoyed her grandchildren, attending Frontier Basketball games, sewing, dancing, and attending Pow-Wows and her times at the casinos.
She helped raise two grandchildren, Brandee and Chantay Sigwing which she was very proud of.
Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Claudetta Morris and her husband of thirty five years, Darrell Sigwing.
She is survived by four children, Robert Moore and John Paul Everhart of Red Rock, Laura Sigwing Warrior of Tonkawa and Danielle Pickering of Ark City, Kansas.
She is also survived by one adopted daughter, Kathy Leitka of Oklahoma City and one adopted son, Ken Bellmard of Ponca City; four brothers, Elton Moore of Tulsa, Randall Moore and Roland Moore both of Red Rock, Oklahoma and Johnny Moore, Jr. of Pawnee; two sisters, Lorretta Hess of Enid, Oklahoma and Carmalita Everhart of Red Rock, Oklahoma; as well as numerous other grand and great grandchildren whom she loved dearly.
Wake services will be 7:00 p.m. Monday and Tuesday evening at the Otoe-Missouria Cultural Center with Traditional Meal at Noon on Wednesday, January 2, 2013.
Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Randy Whitehorn officiating.
Burial will follow in the Otoe-Missouria Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be Graham Primeaux, Jr., Chantay Sigwing, Michael Moore, Daylan Primeaux, John Everhart and Sam Everhart.
Honorary Casket bearers will be Josh Helt, Elijah Helt, Michael Ahdokobo, David Morris, Jr. and Rudy Ahdokobo.
