Shirley Ann Masquat Salway was born in Pawnee, Oklahoma on March 27, 1950 and departed this life in Cushing, Oklahoma on Thursday, September 27, 2012 at the age of 62 years.Shirley was the daughter of Norwood and Rose Gokey Masquat.She was a resident of Cushing, Oklahoma for 7 years.Shirley was a member of the Native American Church and retired as a payroll clerk for County of Los Angeles.She married Charles Salway in east Los Angeles on February 29, 1992.She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, one brother, one grandson and one granddaughter.Survivors include her husband, Charles of the home, two sons, Kevin Masquat and Delrey Gokey, both of Cushing, Oklahoma, two daughters, Deanna Gokey of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Rosetta Garcia of Chandler, Oklahoma, one brother, Norwood Masquat Jr. of Cushing, Oklahoma, two sisters, Delores Byford of Chandler, Oklahoma and Frances Butler of Shawnee, Oklahoma, twenty three grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.Wake service will be held at the Sac & Fox Ceremonial House on Saturday, September 29, 2012 at 6:00 p.m.Burial will be in the Sac & Fox Nation Cemetery on Sunday, September 30, 2012 at 7:30 a.m.
