JIM C. SALA
1921 - 1998


Jim C. Sala, 77, Prague, died in Bakersfield, California on Friday.
He was born on July 17, 1921, in Prague to Ernest and Agnes Chadraba Sala.
He graduated from Prague High School in 1940 and worked at North American Aviation in Dallas, Texas, from 1941 to 1944.
He and his sister owned and operated the Busy Bee Cafe in Prague from 1944 to 1946.
He married Lila Hancock on May 2, 1953, in Beaver.
He worked in California oilfields as a drill and tool pusher until retirement.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Willie in 1920.
Survivors include two daughters, Cynthia Lee Brassfield and Joy Sala, Bakersfield, California; three sons, Carl Andrew Sala and Russel Allen Sala, Bakersfield; and Jimmy Lee Sala, Wellston; two brothers, Bill Sala and George Sala, Prague; sister Mary Reynolds, Prague; fourteen grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday in Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Prague, with the Rev. Jim Eastep officiating.
Burial will be in Prague Cemetery.
