CLARA LEVEDA SACKETT
1941 - 2015


Clara Leveda Houston Sackett was born June 30, 1941 in Wilburton, Oklahoma to Clabe and Julia James Houston. She passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2015 in Stroud at the age of 73.
Clara enjoyed shopping, gardening and crafting having once built cabinets from old windows. She loved to read her Bible and watch CNN and Fox News. Clara loved spending time spoiling her great-grandchildren. She was a prayer warrior and a member of Missionary Baptist Church of Wellston.
Clara was preceded in death by her parents, Clabe and Julia; siblings, Wanda Houston, Floyd Houston, Mildred Trosclair, Bonnie Shinner and Johnny Douglas; and son, Clayton “Butch” Sackett, Jr.
Survivors include her daughter, Debbie Collins; son-in-law Jeff Walkingstick; granddaughter, Julie and her husband Shay Rackley; four great-grandchildren, Braxton, Boston, Sayler and Raider; siblings, Ruby White, Bill Houston, Clarence Houston, Betty Lewis and Jo Tinsman; very best friend Betty Jo Howard; along with numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday April 3, 2015 at the Missionary Baptist Church in Wellston with interment following in the Wellston Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
