STEVEN LOREN ROSSITER
1965 - 2016


Steven Loren Rossiter, age 50 of Cushing, passed away on Monday, May 16, 2016 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Steven was born on June 27, 1965 in Tulare, California to Calvin and Ollie McFarlin Rossiter.
He grew up and attended school in Tulare, graduating from Western High School in 1983.
Steven met and married the love of his life Karla Newport on January 4, 1986, and to this union six children were born, Timothy, Watson, Seth, Lena, Samantha and Lauren.
Steven worked in his families hay fields, later moved to Grand Junction, Colorado in 1991 where he worked in maintenance and lawn care. Later moved to Delta then Montrose where he worked at Wal-Mart and Auto Zone. In October 2000, he moved to Cushing and 2001 started at CSD then transferred to FAA which was under same management / boss. He worked there assembling airport antennas until his illness and death.
Steven enjoyed hunting as much as he could but his true passion was fishing. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, crocheting and playing tricks on Karla and the kids, he even taught his girls how to crochet, but most of all he loved his grand babies and spending as much time with them as possible.
Steven is survived his wife, Karla of the home, three sons, Timothy Rossiter and wife Kristin of Oklahoma City, Watson Rossiter of Cushing and Seth Rossiter and wife Brianna of Cushing, three daughters, Lena Norris and husband Scott of Agra, Samantha Rossiter of Cushing and Lauren Turpin and husband Joshua of Cushing, honorary daughter, Stacy Akins and husband Jacob, two brothers, Clifford Rossiter and wife Glenda of Wichita, Kansas, Michael Rossiter and fiancé, Denise Walker of Cushing, two sisters, Joanne Mack and husband Kyle of Arkansas and Thresa Oceguera and husband Ramon of Reno, Nevada and nine grandchildren, Melissa Rossiter, Amaryllis Rossiter, Cambri Rossiter, Vanessa Norris, Skyler Turpin, Riley Turpin, Laylen Rossiter and and Gracie and Trenton Akins.
Steven was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Duane and Bill Rossiter.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 21, 2016 at General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn in Parkland. Brother Benny Wittman and Brother Darell McFarlin will officiate.
Interment will follow at Parkland Cemetery, Parkland, Oklahoma.
Arrangements are entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing, Oklahoma.
Family will meet and greet friends form 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday May 20, 2016 at the Palmer Marler Funeral Home Cushing, Oklahoma.
