1948 - 2016
Elsie Marie Curry Ross was born March 17, 1948 in Fayetteville, Arkansas to Billy William Curry and Elsie Viola Drumheller. She passed away March 19, 2016 in Stillwater at the age of 68.Marie was a member of the Gospel Lights, a music ministry group.She enjoyed reading books and cooking, and loved her church family, reading her Bible, and listening to gospel music.She loved to dance and most of all, loved her family. Marie brought joy to the lives of many people.Marie was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Paul, Danny, Ocie and Michael Ray; sister, Mary and infant son, Michael.Survivors include her children, Patricia Dyer of Wilson, Brian Ross of Stillwater, Gina Dyer and her husband Oscar Nettles of Carney; four grandchildren, Christina McClaine, Chance Ross, Melinda Flatt and Alan Nettles; five great-grandchildren, Tanner Hartzell, Matthew Harper, Sue Anne Harper, Dustin McClaine and Melissa Richmond; one great-great-grandson, Michael Richmond; siblings, Billie Wolfe, James Curry, David Curry, John Curry, Donny Curry, Edith Brown, Martha Chavez and Ruby Crawford; and many other family and a host of friends.The family will be available to greet friends and relatives during a visitation from 6:00 p.m to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 25, 2016 at the Lehman Funeral Home Chapel with interment following in the Carney Cemetery.Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
