HEATHER MICHELE HEINZIG ROBERTS
1969 - 2014

Heather Michele Heinzig Roberts was born on September 10, 1969, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Monday, November 24, 2014, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, surrounded by her family, at the age of 45.
Heather, the daughter of Donald Gene Heinzig and the late Sherry Regena Mosley, was a resident of Yukon, Oklahoma.
She graduated from Prague High School with the Class of 1987.
She then attended and graduated from East Central University with a degree in fashion merchandising.
She was a Pike Lil' Sis and a member of the Chi Omega Sorority. She continued her education and followed her passion to care for others by becoming an LPN. She worked at Spanish Cove in Yukon, Oklahoma.
Heather was diagnosed with breast cancer September 2010. Heather never gave up her fight with cancer and was an inspiration to others with her courage and her always infectious smile. She loved big and built many friendships over the past 30 years. She received lots of support from her friends and family during her journey and fight with cancer.
Heather loved the lake, being in the sunshine, hanging out with friends, watching OU football and Thunder basketball. Her love for animals, especially her cat, was as deep as her love for her friends and family. She was the most selfless person and always looked out for others, even in her most difficult days. She touched many lives and reminded everyone to never take life for granted and to love and appreciate every day!
Heather will be remembered for her beautiful smile and big heart.
Her mother and grandparents preceded Heather in death.
Survivors include her father, Donald Gene Heinzig and her step-mother, Michelle Heinzig of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; husband, Craig Roberts, and his two children, Kirsten and Cody of Yukon, Oklahoma; brother, Cody Graham of Edmond, Oklahoma; and two grandchildren; along with other family members and numerous friends.
As a celebration of Heather’s life and fight against cancer, the family has requested that donations be made on Heather’s behalf to the Susan G. Komen Foundation at www.komen.org or to the Blessings for Heather Fund at www.gofundme.com/hdbsmg.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 1, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Prague, Oklahoma with the Bro. Mike Haines officiating.
Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
